Saturday hang out

Kuva
On a Saturday before I left to Singapore, I met few of my friends and one new person. We started the day by going to eat lunch in a cafe in Ekkamai. There we met Koh's friend who was very nice. I was glad to meet another Thai person and of course make a new friend. The cafe was also good and their dishes were very creative. My drink came in a chemistry dish and also my friend's sandwiches came in a weird plate. I ate a caesar salad in which I was very satisfied. After lunch we went iceskating which I had been waiting for the whole week because I was very interested to see how my friends, who are not used to iceskating, will manage :D Everyone did well and I was happy to see how they didn't give up but kept going despite of falling down many times. I myself was very shocked that I had to use different kinds of skates that I have been using in Finland. The skates I used here are used only by boys in Finland and I found it much more difficult to skate with them. We...

I got a request to do more food related posts so after that I have been taking pictures of almost every dish me or my friends have been eating. I will do more of these posts but here's the first bunch of pictures & little bit of information about them :) Last month I went to try a restaurant that has barbecue and sushi. You could pick what kind of sushi you want and also meat that you can barbecue and how many of each kind. Then you had max 2 hours to eat and you could drink all of the available drinks as much as you wanted. It was quite an expensive restaurant but luckily I was with my friend so we could split the bill. The restaurant is located in the Gateway mall which is next to the Ekkamai BTS station (my home station). Next 2 pictures I took in a local restaurant in the Sukhumvit area where I went with my 2 Japanese exchange friends. I was really satisfied with my dishes! One of the best chicken wings I have ever eaten.  Then something I bro...

Back to normal

Hi all! I have been so busy and lazy, I haven't succeeded to write new posts. Last week was the mid-term exam week but I was lucky to have only one exam and no classes. Therefore I decided to make a trip to Singapore! I'm actually at the Changi airport waiting for my flight to Bangkok at the moment. I should already be in the air but my flight got delayed. No worries because now I had time to go buy a few things before coming to the airport and for comfort I made a stop at the Victoria's Secret shop here in the airport. 5 underwear left with me in a pink bag :) Now I don't feel so sad anymore because of I had to throw away one of my VS underwear a couple of weeks ago. I will make an own post about my trip but shortly said everything went well and I'm happy I got to see a new country even though I had to travel alone :)  Now I should finish some internship applications and find a toilet before boarding begins. I will write again soon :)  Have a nice...

Nice to meet you again!

On Saturday I met up with my two friends and also with a thai guy who I met two weeks ago. We went to another night market called Train market. First we took a skytrain from Ekkamai to Phra Kanong and from there we took a bus to the market. It was the first time for me and my friends using a bus so it was very interesting. It was very good to have a local person to help us use the bus system :D The journey took quite a long time but costed only 9 baht per person. The market area was pretty big, full of shops, bars and restaurants. At first we wanted to eat something and there were a lot of street food stalls that had delicious looking food but we preferred to sit in a proper restaurant. Finally we found one where we ordered 2 different kinds of soups and noodles. The food was new for me and actually also for the local guy. He said he doesn't like spicy food and noodles that much which was very surprising :D But we all ate it and were satisfied. After that we went around the market ...

Tickets for a great show!

Hello everyone, especially all the Inspirits out there!  Monday was a really great day for me because I bought tickets for myself and two of my friends to go and see INFINITE EFFECT on October 25th! It's their 2nd world tour and this time they're coming to Bangkok to perform for 2 days. When I found out about this I immediately decided I HAVE to go there because finally I'm already in the city where some K-Pop band will perform so I won't have to buy any flight tickets or book a hotel etc. I also love love love INFINITE! ♥ Their songs, performances, looks and personalities are just great. I saw them live last May in Dream Concert and they were amazing and they especially sounded great. From that moment on I have been dreaming to go to their own concert to see and hear more live performances and now that's coming true. I can't wait to go there! This time I also have friends with me so I don't have to go alone. That's a big plus :) See you there other In...

Pattaya 12.-14.9.

I just came back from Pattaya where I spent a couple days with my friends. It wasn't a long time but it was just enough for me because I had been there once before and I don't like that place so much. It's a very convenient place to go if you're staying in Bangkok because it's only 2 hours away with bus (one-way bus ticket costs only 115 baht = about 3€!) . We stayed in a hotel which was a bit far from the beach and all the party places but that was just a good thing! It was very beautiful and nice hotel with a cheap price. Some of our group left already yesterday but me and my 2 friends stayed until today. Here's some pictures and descriptions what we did: On Saturday after we arrived in Pattaya, we went to eat in the Walking Street and  then headed back to the hotel. 3 of us actually ended up taking a massage. I was one of  them because my neck and shoulders had been very painful for a long time AGAIN.  The massage was 1 hour and costed 300 bah...
