It's all going to work out, right?

For the past 3 weeks I have been busy organising my move, spending last days with my exchange friends and also last weeks in Bangkok. Earlier this month I said final goodbyes to my dear friend Madoka who went back to her home country Japan. We spent her last day here together just the two of us and I felt so sad the whole day. Of course we had our funny moments but still I got more and more sad as the day went by. I gave her a Moomin mug and some Moomin candy that my mum brought from Finland as a farewell present. She loves Moomins so I was happy to give those to her and also because they were something to remind her of Finland and me :) I also got a handwritten card from her and the text was something that I will never forget. I got tears in my eyes while reading it because I felt so thankful to have met such a kind and honest person. I was so glad that at least someone really appreciated the time I spent with her and I had made someone happy. She is really a person who ...

Everything must come to an end

Sorry I haven't been writing for a while but my mother was visiting me the past 2 weeks. So I used most of my time with her. We went shopping in various places, visited IKEA and just hanged out together. I was so glad to see her after 4 months although I had talked with her a lot in Skype. That's why yesterday when she left, was the saddest and hardest day for me so far during this exchange. To be honest I cried many times at home during the day and it felt really odd that she wasn't here anymore because I had gotten quite used to it already. Now I'm starting to feel okay but I'm still sad because I don't know when I will see her again and there's some scary and exciting things ahead.  In other words I got an internship place from Valmet which is a Finnish company but internationally located. It's quite well-known company in Finland but still I didn't know how international it is. I applied for a summer job there last spring because they're...

Saturday hang out

Kuva
On a Saturday before I left to Singapore, I met few of my friends and one new person. We started the day by going to eat lunch in a cafe in Ekkamai. There we met Koh's friend who was very nice. I was glad to meet another Thai person and of course make a new friend. The cafe was also good and their dishes were very creative. My drink came in a chemistry dish and also my friend's sandwiches came in a weird plate. I ate a caesar salad in which I was very satisfied. After lunch we went iceskating which I had been waiting for the whole week because I was very interested to see how my friends, who are not used to iceskating, will manage :D Everyone did well and I was happy to see how they didn't give up but kept going despite of falling down many times. I myself was very shocked that I had to use different kinds of skates that I have been using in Finland. The skates I used here are used only by boys in Finland and I found it much more difficult to skate with them. We...

BUIC orientation

Kuva
On Thursday and Friday I had my orientation days at BUIC. On Thursday we got all kinds of information, the faculty and the school's president were introduced as were the student committee and school clubs, a group foto was taken and got to know what courses I got from last week's registration. The day was quite boring from time to time because there were moments when nobody knew where my group aka all the entrepreneurship students need to go and do and we had to wait quite a long time many points. The campus tour that was given to our group was also quite useless because you couldn't always hear what the tutor student said about the place and there were so much information that you just couldn't remember everything in the end of it. But overall it was a nice day especially I got to see all the other exchange students and who are studying what major and I also made a couple of new Finnish friends :) I was also surprised and happy to see how many Asian students there were...

Oppaana Tampereella Osa 2

Kuva
Sain torstaina seurakseni kohti Tamperetta italialaisen vaihtarini.
