I wake up to your sunset

So on my previous post I hinted about searching information on various Asian cities and choosing a travel destination for myself... Next month I have a week off due to national holidays (2 Buddhist holidays + Songkran festival) so I right away decided I would travel somewhere. But I have a problem: WHERE TO TRAVEL?  For a long time my 1st choice was Osaka but because tickets were very expensive and one of my friends won't be there the whole week, I threw that idea away. Now I have been thinking about Seoul, Jakarta, Beijing, Vietnam, Taipei and Australia but I gave up on Taipei and Australia when I looked at the ticket prices and flight schedules last week. All of the destinations have good and bad sides so it's really hard to choose. If someone has any recommendations, feel free to comment!  What kind of pros and cons do those destinations have?  Seoul + My mom could maybe come there, I could meet my Korean friend, SHOPPING, I could ask for recomme...

A while back I saw a cake recipe video in Facebook and because it didn't require an oven or ingredients that are very hard or impossible to get here, I decided to try it. It was a chocolate cheesecake so I just needed cream cheese, cookies, butter, sugar, chocolate and whipped cream. It also required vanilla which I couldn't get but luckily I got vanilla sugar from Finland so problem solved. I couldn't do the whipped cream myself so I bought already made whipped cream from the store. I had most of the ingredients for many weeks but because last month I wasn't at home during any weekend, I couldn't do it until last weekend. But it was worth the wait! Although I was a bit worried how it will turn out (because I don't usually have good luck with my cooking) , everything went surprisingly well and the cake tastes very good. We're already over halfway through February which means my time here in Thailand keeps decreasing and coming to an end (way too fast). That's why I have tried to enjoy every moment I have here besides spending time in the office due to my internship. In the beginning of this month I travelled to Kuala Lumpur, mainly because of my 90 -day period was coming to an end so I needed to travel outside of Thailand. I spent there a few days and happily came back. Last weekend I spent in Bangkok because I wanted to meet 2 of my friends and take care of a few things. My Saturday evening was amazing thanks to my dear friend Koh who I met after a long time. We went to eat and walk around JJ Green night market near Mo Chit station. We ate in a Korean BBQ restaurant where we ended up spending a lot of time just talking about all kinds of stuff and enjoying the food. I'm here again! This month I have been taking a bit of a brake with my blog because my internship has taken most of my time and energy. From now on I will try to get myself to write more often and I better succeed because I have many unfinished posts that are waiting for publishing.  Today it's already the last day of January. This month has gone really fast and I'm not surprised because after 5 months, I finally have a proper schedule in my life and because of  that I'm quite busy and I feel like days go really fast. I'm very satisfied with my internship so far although I have had many days filled with too much free time. At first it was because I didn't have my email account etc and also all the tasks were new to me so I had to be taught. But now later for example this week, there hasn't been so many orders/shipments for me to work on so that means I have more free time. Happy new year 2016! ♥ I can't believe 2016 is already here and in what kind of situation I'm starting it. I spent my New Year with a friend after I gave my apartment away on Wednesday and moved to my friend's place for a few days. On New Year's Eve we decided to avoid the city centre and other places that will be really crowded due to a lot of people especially tourists watching fireworks. Therefore we just stayed home, ordered food from Foodpanda, watched movies and before midnight went to the roof and watched fireworks. Although we didn't do anything special, I had a fun New Year and I was really glad I didn't have to spend it alone. It was also cool to see fireworks in Bangkok especially from a roof. Many months my plan for New Year was to travel to Sydney and watch the amazing fireworks there and also see what's Australia really like but as time passed I started to give up that plan. For the past 3 weeks I have been busy organising my move, spending last days with my exchange friends and also last weeks in Bangkok. Earlier this month I said final goodbyes to my dear friend Madoka who went back to her home country Japan. We spent her last day here together just the two of us and I felt so sad the whole day. Of course we had our funny moments but still I got more and more sad as the day went by. I gave her a Moomin mug and some Moomin candy that my mum brought from Finland as a farewell present. She loves Moomins so I was happy to give those to her and also because they were something to remind her of Finland and me :) I also got a handwritten card from her and the text was something that I will never forget. I got tears in my eyes while reading it because I felt so thankful to have met such a kind and honest person. MERRY CHRISTMAS!   HYVÄÄ JOULUA! Christmas Eve. It's that day of the year once again. This time I spent it in Bangkok with a friend. Our day didn't go as planned but I'm still happy that I weren't alone and bored but had good company and at least something to do. We were supposed to eat Christmas buffet in IKEA but we didn't get in so we ended up eating in McDonalds feeling very angry and disappointed. But at least we got to go shopping in shops full of sale items! I ended up buying a few new clothes for my internship from Forever 21. After we got to my apartment, we ate some cake and watched Love Actually. Despite feeling not well the whole day, it was quite good Christmas Eve. But I was still missing my home, family and Finnish Christmas food. Fortunately there are more Christmases in the future and many of them I will for sure spend with my family so I tried keep my head up and have fun today :)  Now I'm off to listen some EXO's Christmas songs...
