14 weeks till Christmas

After coming back from Thailand last Wednesday, I'm back to my normal routine. I had such a good time in BKK especially with my friends that it has been quite hard to get used to working again. I just keep thinking about the trip and how much I wanted to stay there. I'm not gonna lie I did shed a tear (or "a few") on couple of the last days when I realized my trip is coming to an end and once again I have to go back to Finland. But that gave me more motivation to work hard, save money and keep planning where/when/what to study in Thailand as I have thought about going there to do the master's degree. Considering how much I enjoyed myself there again, I definitely want to go there to continue my studies. But first I need to survive until the end of this year working hard and hopefully continue working in the same place for next Spring. Then maybe already next Fall I could start doing the master's degree. Before that there's this fall and winter to survive....

Christmas 2016

Another Christmas has come and gone. Compared to last year's Christmas, this time it was way different. This year I spent it in Finland with my family and I got to eat traditional Finnish Christmas food and not McDonalds' like last year... Our plan for Christmas Eve changed a bit but still I had fun and enjoyed myself. But once again I got thinking that Christmas is actually quite annoying event because I feel like everyone is just stressing and worrying about presents, food, clothes, cleaning, family + possible work/school related things. So during the weeks leading to Christmas people are just bunch of stressed and burned out monkeys. I wish people would just forget all the stupid fuss about "what to buy as a present" "oh no I still need to cook this and this" "the house still looks horrible" and just enjoy and relax during Christmas time. But that probably won't happen ever especially in the Western countries... At least I tried to take it ...

Living like a vampire

Living like a vampire...that's how my friend described my life when I told her about my work and sleep schedule for the past week. On last week's Monday I started working for the Finnish post as a Christmas helper and my last shift was last night. During this time I have been working every day or well actually night because I had only night shifts. The same time every night. Many people have been asking how was it, was it hard etc. I don't think it was that hard. It was actually quite the same as working during daytime. But there was one thing that helped a lot and it was the fact that we had something to do all the time and that's something which keeps me going. I know the nights would have been a lot worse for me if I didn't have something to do the whole shift. Plus every time I felt tired or at home I felt like I didn't want to go, I just thought about the good salary and additions for night work (+weekend work) I will get and just kept going. The work its...

It's all going to work out, right?

For the past 3 weeks I have been busy organising my move, spending last days with my exchange friends and also last weeks in Bangkok. Earlier this month I said final goodbyes to my dear friend Madoka who went back to her home country Japan. We spent her last day here together just the two of us and I felt so sad the whole day. Of course we had our funny moments but still I got more and more sad as the day went by. I gave her a Moomin mug and some Moomin candy that my mum brought from Finland as a farewell present. She loves Moomins so I was happy to give those to her and also because they were something to remind her of Finland and me :) I also got a handwritten card from her and the text was something that I will never forget. I got tears in my eyes while reading it because I felt so thankful to have met such a kind and honest person. I was so glad that at least someone really appreciated the time I spent with her and I had made someone happy. She is really a person who ...

Christmas Eve ♥

MERRY CHRISTMAS!   HYVÄÄ JOULUA! Christmas Eve. It's that day of the year once again. This time I spent it in Bangkok with a friend. Our day didn't go as planned but I'm still happy that I weren't alone and bored but had good company and at least something to do. We were supposed to eat Christmas buffet in IKEA but we didn't get in so we ended up eating in McDonalds feeling very angry and disappointed. But at least we got to go shopping in shops full of sale items! I ended up buying a few new clothes for my internship from Forever 21. After we got to my apartment, we ate some cake and watched Love Actually. Despite feeling not well the whole day, it was quite good Christmas Eve. But I was still missing my home, family and Finnish Christmas food. Fortunately there are more Christmases in the future and many of them I will for sure spend with my family so I tried keep my head up and have fun today :)  Now I'm off to listen some EXO's Christmas songs...

Christmas Dinner 26.11.

On Wednesday evening we went to Pori with our exchange students. We had a Christmas Dinner which was to celebrate Christmas and spend time together with all the exchange students in SAMK.  There were Christmas food, a dance performance, changing presents and singing.  I think it was quite nice event but the seating system was very bad because you couldn't talk and hang out with everyone. Me and Johanna sat with our Chinese exchange students and two other tutors but all the others were sitting at the other end of the table so we couldn't talk with them much.  But overall it was nice especially because the bus and the food were free :D

♥♥ 2013 ♥♥

It's time for a new year, 2014! I just have to say that I can't believe how fast these years go by nowadays... This is mad! Soon I'll be 20, graduate, get a real job and HOPEFULLY move abroad with S, get married & start a family and get old & DIE ...  B ut what then? :/  For me the year 2013 was...UNBELIEVABLE! There aren't words enough to describe it. And for the first time, most of the experiences and happenings were positive instead of negative and bad. I thought I would do a recap post about all of those things :)  My year started in Thailand with my mum, brother and his Thai wife. It was a long trip (28.12.2012-15.1.2013) and full of unforgettable, fun and sad moments ♥  I loved:  shopping, shopping & shopping seeing Kanjana's family again going to Chiang Mai  visiting Chiang Mai Zoo & Doi Suthep -temple seeing Thailand's old capitol, Ayutthaya going to Pattaya and to the beach  eating Thai food ...
