Graduation!

Kuva
Last month finally came the day for my graduation. After a bit under 4 years of “hard” work, I could at last say goodbye to studying (at least for a while) , receive my certificates and put behind yet another chapter in my life. I had been nervous about the graduation the whole spring since I wasn’t sure if I can finish my thesis on time because there were so many deadlines to comply and I often wasn’t that hardworking with my writing. I even started to think about postponing the graduation until fall since I wouldn’t need the certificates during summer but my mum kept pushing me while saying that if I need to apply for a job in the fall then I would really need the certificates. So I did my best and luckily my teacher also helped me to finish everything so I could graduate in June. Then came June and the official graduation day. Even though the graduation day was a Friday, I could attend thanks to my nice boss who let me skip work that day. Fortunately, my mum agreed to drive me ...

1st seminar DONE!

Kuva
I have been hating myself for not writing here more often but since last month I have been either too busy or too tired. One of the main reasons for me being busy is my thesis. I finally came up with a thesis subject before last year ended and last month I started writing my thesis plan. I finished it early this month and also had my 1st seminar and since then I have been researching and writing my thesis. I should have the theory part ready before 31st of March so I don't have a lot of time especially since I need to practice a lot for my financial analysis resit exam and for another exam which is in early March. So school has kept me really busy lately and unfortunately it will continue like that until May when my thesis and seminars should be finished. So my apologies for not being super active here during that time! I'll do my best and try to at least finish some unfinished posts.  Thanks to my friend and her Valentine's Day present, I had some motivation fo...

Loving my life ♥

Kuva
Hello everyone and hello September! :)  Oh my I have been here for a month now and I'm feeling....VERY HAPPY! I have really enjoyed every day, hour and minute here. I haven't (still) gotten homesick but wished I could just stay here for a long long time. I was just talking with my friend that how it's much easier for both of us because we have been here many times so we have gotten used to the negative aspects etc. We're both really enjoying yourselves unlike some other people but I'm sure many are just having culture shock which me and my friend luckily won't have as strong and bad as many other exchange students here. I just love the people, food, weather (I can wear summer clothes 24/7 ♥) , prices and lots of other things :) I'm really curious how I will think in December when my exchange ends...  I have now attended my classes for almost 3 weeks and they haven't been so bad and that's why I feel like school hasn't really started yet. Alth...

BUIC orientation

Kuva
On Thursday and Friday I had my orientation days at BUIC. On Thursday we got all kinds of information, the faculty and the school's president were introduced as were the student committee and school clubs, a group foto was taken and got to know what courses I got from last week's registration. The day was quite boring from time to time because there were moments when nobody knew where my group aka all the entrepreneurship students need to go and do and we had to wait quite a long time many points. The campus tour that was given to our group was also quite useless because you couldn't always hear what the tutor student said about the place and there were so much information that you just couldn't remember everything in the end of it. But overall it was a nice day especially I got to see all the other exchange students and who are studying what major and I also made a couple of new Finnish friends :) I was also surprised and happy to see how many Asian students there were...

14 days!

There's only 2 weeks (14 days) left until I travel to Thailand for my exchange study!  This is getting more and more exciting and at the same time more sad.  I will be away at least 5-6 months, the actual school ends in the middle of December but I have planned to spend Christmas somewhere and also travel to Australia for the New Year's. My apartment contract ends at the end of January so I will probably stay in Thailand until then but if everything goes well I will come back to Finland next summer. I'm suppose to do my practical training (6 months) in Thailand or somewhere else in Asia or even in the USA but if I don't get it, I will have to come back to Finland earlier. I just really really hope that I can find a suitable internship and maybe even get a real job after that! Fortunately there's still time to find it and I will also ask some help from the school in Bangkok :)  Although there's still some time before I will leave, I have started to gat...
