2016 in review

Last year I didn't finish this post but this time I managed. So here's a review of 2016: (Once again I used questions that I found from  my friend's blog ) RELATIONSHIPS 1. Did you get a new friend?  Yes, I met really nice people at my internship  company  and during my travels.  2. Did you do something new? Travelled to Malaysia, did an internship, visited new places in Seoul and Osaka, went to see Thai movies and lived in Thailand somewhere else than Bangkok (Laem Chabang). The view from my balcony in Laem Chabang. Even though some days I kinda hated it when I was there but nowadays I often miss it.  3. Were you in a relationship?  Yes and no. Kinda... 4. Tell a couple of the best memories from 2016?   Concerts (EXOluXion in Kuala Lumpur, EXO'rDIUM in Osaka, Dream Concert 2016) & trips to Seoul + my time in Thailand.  5. Did you fight with any of your friends?  ...

Back again!

After a (too) long break, I'm back! My apologies for not writing anything for the past 2 months but I decided to take a break and focus on getting used to being back in Finland. Plus I have been super busy from time to time.  Before telling what I have been doing lately, let's look back at my last days in Bangkok. My last days at work were really easy and I didn't have much to do. In a way I hoped I had more tasks so I wouldn't had been so bored but at least I had time to plan my last days and get used to the idea that my time in Thailand is almost over. On my second last work day, I went to enjoy a farewell dinner with the whole logistics team and a few other employees I got to know very well. I had a great time during that dinner and even though I felt happy, I still felt so sad because everyone was very nice and friendly to me the whole 6 months. The feelings I had were nothing compared to what I felt the next day when I finished working and it was time to leave ...

2 weeks left!

Kuva
From today I have exactly 2 weeks left of my time in Thailand. These past weeks I have been packing my (never ending) supply of various stuff while trying to stay awake and be active at work. Somehow my sleep hasn't been good so especially the time before lunch, has been really hard at work. So when I get home I'm very eager to just go straight to bed and that's why I have tried to utilize every moment when I'm not tired for packing. I have already packed most of my clothes, books, accessories, dishes etc but there are still some things left. And my luggage situation is...well quite nerve wrecking. I have 3 big luggage and luckily none of them are over the weight limit but they're getting closer and closer while the room in them is getting smaller. I have probably been panicking too much about the luggage situation because last Friday I got a migraine at the office in the morning. Fortunately my medication decreases the pain a lot so I could manage the day at work ...

Halfway through

April is almost here and that means I'm halfway through my internship. I try my best not to think about it because although I feel happy to go back home, I feel really sad that I need to leave Thailand which I consider as my second home nowadays. I also need to leave all the nice things and people that I have here. Still no matter how hard I try to avoid, I keep thinking about how much time I have left and what I will miss. What hasn't helped is that I have tried to decide which day I return to Finland because I need to change my flight ticket and then I could start preparing for it. My mum will also probably come here in June and we might go back to Finland together or she would at least take some of my things with her so I need to know the date asap. In the end I decided that I'll most likely go back to Finland on 3rd of July because my visa ends on the 6th and I don't want to overstay because of the new much more strict immigration rules. I would prefer staying a bi...

Keeping myself busy

Kuva
We're already over halfway through February which means my time here in Thailand keeps decreasing and coming to an end (way too fast). That's why I have tried to enjoy every moment I have here besides spending time in the office due to my internship. In the beginning of this month I travelled to Kuala Lumpur, mainly because of my 90 -day period was coming to an end so I needed to travel outside of Thailand. I spent there a few days and happily came back. Last weekend I spent in Bangkok because I wanted to meet 2 of my friends and take care of a few things. My Saturday evening was amazing thanks to my dear friend Koh who I met after a long time. We went to eat and walk around JJ Green night market near Mo Chit station. We ate in a Korean BBQ restaurant where we ended up spending a lot of time just talking about all kinds of stuff and enjoying the food. After that we still had time to look around for a bit before Koh had to leave. I really enjoyed my time with him and hope...

My new ordinary days

I'm here again! This month I have been taking a bit of a brake with my blog because my internship has taken most of my time and energy. From now on I will try to get myself to write more often and I better succeed because I have many unfinished posts that are waiting for publishing.  Today it's already the last day of January. This month has gone really fast and I'm not surprised because after 5 months, I finally have a proper schedule in my life and because of  that I'm quite busy and I feel like days go really fast. I'm very satisfied with my internship so far although I have had many days filled with too much free time. At first it was because I didn't have my email account etc and also all the tasks were new to me so I had to be taught. But now later for example this week, there hasn't been so many orders/shipments for me to work on so that means I have more free time. Sometimes it feels nice because from time to time I have many tasks at the sa...

New year, New start

Kuva
Happy new year 2016! ♥ I can't believe 2016 is already here and in what kind of situation I'm starting it. I spent my New Year with a friend after I gave my apartment away on Wednesday and moved to my friend's place for a few days. On New Year's Eve we decided to avoid the city centre and other places that will be really crowded due to a lot of people especially tourists watching fireworks. Therefore we just stayed home, ordered food from Foodpanda, watched movies and before midnight went to the roof and watched fireworks. Although we didn't do anything special, I had a fun New Year and I was really glad I didn't have to spend it alone. It was also cool to see fireworks in Bangkok especially from a roof. Many months my plan for New Year was to travel to Sydney and watch the amazing fireworks there and also see what's Australia really like but as time passed I started to give up that plan. Maybe one day I'll get to go to Australia and even spe...
